This month’s Volunteer Shout Out goes to Earl Baise, pictured here with Buck Cochran. Earl has been a part of the Peacehaven family since the spring of 2009. He first heard about Peacehaven at a Men's Fellowship meeting held at Brick Church and has been deeply involved ever since. In addition to general garden workday tasks, Earl helps around the farm with anything that needs building or taking apart. He is a machinist, and when he is not at Peacehaven, he spends his time building ramps around town for people who have mobility issues. Earl enjoys watching people from all walks of life come together and work to help make others lives a little bit better. “I have been shown that dreams really can come true,” said Earl. “I've watched Peacehaven over the years, the ups and down of trying to start something this ambitious, the struggles when things weren't going exactly as planned and seeing the concern on their faces. But through it all, never giving up, always moving forward, always adapting. It was truly inspiring to see the look on Buck's face the day that the first residents moved in.” Thank you, Earl, for ALL you do for Peacehaven.
